Latest from Rockhampton. By Telegram. Rockhampton, Friday, 9 a.m. Mary Ann Thomasson, 21 years of age, was a victim of a severe burn ing accident yesterday mjorning. She was in the yard when her clothes caught Are. She ran inside, -where her mffther rolled a rug around her and extinguished the flames. The girl was badly burnt on both thighs, both arms, and the left side, also suffering severely from shock. She was taken to the General Hospital. Her condition is somewhat serious. Two horse caseg came before the Small Debts Court yesterday. In the first Oliver Percy Brighton claimed £5 from Thomas Wood, the value of a horse he had lent to Wood and which had gone astray. After one of' Brighton's witnesses had stated the neddy was worth only 70/- the case was struck out on defendant agreeing to return the horse. Dennis Connolly sued Stanley Gordon Ball for £5. value of hdrse sold. Ball success fully claimed that he only got the horse as a trial and the Bench be lieved him. Dairymen .her...

Allan McCormack, driver of the mail van from Barra Pier to Mitta "gong, narrowly escaped death by fall ing over a cliff when the van fell on the trip up Bnllio Mbnntain. The horses became restive at a bad corner and backed over the cliff. The van fell and tfasemasbed on tho rocks one hundred feet below. The driver leapt olear as the van was falling. The mails were recovered.
