TELEGRAPHIC MESSAGES. {From the Courier.) NORMANTON. January 20. The weather ia a little cooler, but tbe floods continue. Tbe horse teams Hint etarted for the Clon- curry a fortnight ago, with rations, returned to Normanton yesterday, as they had not been able to proceed moro than four miles. The country befjre£ hero, the Carron Creek Telegraph Station, and "the shores of the Gulf,' is under water for miles at a stretch. Looking from the Telegraph Station at Carron Creek, nothing is to be seen but a rast sheet of water as far as the eye can reach. Since the first of this month more than four- teen and a half inches of «in have fallen at Carron Creek, and it must have been much heavier in some of the surrounding districts. At Norman Mouth yesterday four inebes of rain fell. The Gulf section of the telegraph line is standing the test well, and is working splendidly. The mean temperature in the shade for the week is 81*1.
