M. PASTEUR'S THEORY. [Newspaper Article] — Western Herald — 8 February 1888

M. PASTEUR'S THEORY Notwithstanding the adverse opinion (Wys an Exchange) expressed by a {Sydney ofiical we cannot but think that Pasteur has to all intents settled the rabbit difficulty. Of course there will be some preliminary difficul ties as to the application of the cure, but these will soon be got over. We may be sure that tbe gre&t chemist and scientist fully knows what he is doing'and his respon sibilities. Everything we know is ia favor of Pasteur. We all know the disease known as chicken cholera is one of the most common — what good housewife has not had to lament its ravages — but the memory or history of man does not record any instance of man or the superior animals being in the slightest degree affected b_v it, although man handles infected fowls, lies close to them...
