The town of Tomb3tone \ is beautifully located on a high undulating mesa, at the base of the hills in which the rich mines are found ; in fact, some of the mines are ■within the ' city : limits, and tb.2 famous Tough Nut corners near the business center. The town consists of C-tO acres, being one mile in length from northeast to south east, and half a milo wide. Easiness lots on the main street, 40x120, rate from §SOO to 91,500; on . the . next street at §300 to §400. The town was laid out by a com pany, of whom "Mike" Gray was the agent and manager. Mr. Gray was our first Justice, and ; became the senior Judge of the place. The pale last week in this portion of the val ley destroyed barns and fences valued at 84,000 or SB.OOO, besides drying the ground and retarding vegetation to such an extent that unless rain and warm weather soon ar rives the crops will prove exceedingly light. This morning a slight shower of rain fell, and the hill tops in the vicinity are covered with snow, the latter a very unusual sight at this time of year. ...
