ADDITIONAL LOCAL. Tlic reproduction of "The Last Loaf," under the auspices of the public school, brought out a good audience, and was highly enter taining. Many who witnessed the performance declare it to have been far superior to that of more pretentious plays on the road, and the acting exceptionally good for amateurs. John Kerr, formerly supervisor of the Lincoln forest reserve, and later supervisor of the Magdalcna reserve, was in Carrizozo this week. Mr. Kerr is now assistant chief of the grazing department, and this trip to the Lincoln Na tional Forest is his first under the new arrangement. Ilis head quarters arc in Albuquerque, to which point he returned yester day. K. IT. Hare, professor of Chem istry in the A. & M. College at Las Cruccs, came in last night to insticute the Masonic lodge at Carrizozo. There arc eigh teen charter members, composed of residents of all sections of the county. The report grew out of a severe case of tonsilitis, which at first was thought to be scarlet fever, "Uncle" Tom McGravy, a well known character at Capilau for a number of years, died at the Soldiers' Home in Washington City a few' -days ago.
