('ircuit Court, of the case of IHollinrgsworth vs. the Parish ofl Tensas, was;c;ncluded yester day. This is a suit fir d'Iiages, actual and consequential, iauni'd by the construction of a leve in the rear of plaintiff's plantation, situated on the Mississippi river, in Teis'as parish. In his charge to the jury, Judge Boar man said that the act of the Police Jury was an exercise of the right of eminent domain, and that the plantiff, there fore, was entitled to recover the actual damages shown to have been sustained by her, but that she coul not recover consequential damages, unless the proof showed that the defendant had acted wantonly and negligently in the exercise of its power. The Jury returned a verdict of ,mn-suit as to the actual damages, but in Ihvor of the defendant for the conquential damages claimed by plaintiff. We understand that...
