Letters to Soldiers. NEW FORM OF ADDRESS. [Newspaper Article] — Cobden Times — 18 September 1918

Letters to Soldiers. + I NEW FORM OF ADDRESS. i It is desired by the military authorities abroad that tbe word " Australia" be included in everything addressed to any of tbe units, hence tbe necessity for including the words " Australian Imperial Force," instead of" A.I.F." In the ease of infantry the distinguishing letter of tbe Company to which tbe soldier is attached should be shown thus:— No. 1234, Private Thomas Atkins, "B"Company, 21st Infantry Battalion, Australian Imperial Force, Abroad. In Light Horse regiments tbe squadron should be indicated in tbe same way, as followp :— No. 12...
