Much and Nrothing Much. [Newspaper Article] — Deloraine and Westbury Advertiser — 7 January 1911

Much and frothing Much. [By "BES BOLT"] It ¡3 really strange, Mr. Editor, the sort of weather we have been get- ting htely, and i: don't tend to cheerfulness altogether. Still, things can bs worse, and ona likes to keep cheerful as lon3 as passible. Tiley tell me ii this Referendum passes that Andy Fisher wants the Commonwealth t > take over rnoao polies. I wonder whether they could bring in the "Advertiser" as a monopoly, as there is o.oly one ;o.iper in Deloraine. That remin ls me, there was some talk about a second paper starting, but it seems to have died out. Good job too, for the owner of tlie second. I see the mainland pi »pie hive been celebrating, but I'm bothered ii I can see any sense in that chap banging himself in the head because he ran short of cash to buy his girl a present, even if it Christ nos Til it ch rp and Miss Jones who tied herself np in a bag and put herself out on the roof some time ag"0, ought t > get Hurried It seems a pity to spoil such a sn ta'il...

Mole Creek District. [Newspaper Article] — Deloraine and Westbury Advertiser — 7 January 1911

Mole Creek District. Now that we are in the midst of the Tourist and Holiday season with its picnic outings and Mountain, Lake, Cave and Holiday excursions. A discriptive trip from Deloraine to Mole Creek, the cave land of Tas-   mania, would perhaps prove very interesting. Leaving Deloraine at 8 o'clock in the morning-making   sure before starting that the indis-   pensible "Billy" and "Hamper" are safe and sound in the vehicle, a quick drive of three miles lands us   at Lemana Junction, travelling on the picturesque homestead of   "Woodlands" later- on that of Mr. W. O Meara are passed, finally Mr. Geo. Bennett's is reached, it will repay those on beard to call a halt and have a view of the lowlands from this point of vantage, with a distant view of Deloraine snugly   nestled in the midst of a series of hills with a picluresque back-ground of mountains and hills. Continuing on Needles (6 miles) if soon r...
