THE MARKETS. Reported for the Centra! Pras-Bel.lf.fokt!-;. Oct. 14, !8o3. The very fine weather, and we suppose the excitement of an election, has prevented farmers from bringing in any large quantities of grain. This is owing to the fact, that prices have been very steady, and we notice this week, no particular chsnge. The demand does not go much beyond what is used for home consumption—and this article of wheat is generally of the best quality. Indeed the grain which is now ground at the rnills makes superior Hour, and the buckwheat which has been received, is spoken of by the millers as equal, if not superior to any former years. Oats in small qualities is in demand, and profitable sales could be .easily made. It holds its price steadily, and if the demand continues unsupplied. must advance.
