FOURTH OF JULY. This great national jubilee was celebrated in . Boston and other cities and towns in ils vicinity in I various ways, ns a jubilee of reason and festivity, ] - perhaps in some cases of extravagance and folly. Boston, il is said, was never so thronged Li-fore. The day was fair and of an agreeable, summer temperature.
