JOSEPH A. HYDE, BANKER, PHILIPSBURG. M.T. Hammond Building, HOME NEWS. C. H. Howard, of St. Louis, is at the Kaiser. W. H. Presley, of Butte, visited the Burg during the week. Tom McTague, of Deer Lodge, took a hop into town during the week. W. W. Adams, superintendent of the Hope company, took a trip to Butte last week. Born-At Missoula, Friday evening, September 21, 1888. to Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Bowring, a son. John H. Huffman returned from Butte Wednesday, where hs has been visiting for a few weeks. John Gillie, the mining surveyor of Butte, was in town during the week, domiciled at the Sparey hotel. The infant child of G. L Atwater, aged 6 months, died last Laturday, from the effects of summer c.:: plaint. A fishing party. consisting of Misses Rodgers and Dawsoni, ýohn Adams and C. W. Heath, went to Silver lake, Sun day. H. S. Neal, the republican nominee for county assessor, is spending a few days in town and is meeting lots of old friends.
