It Stands Lineal a Pressure of a Ton per Foot, Equal to Ten Locomotives. Wednesday forenoon the !eamer Ella transported quite a number of prominent gentlemen to the bridge to witness the for mal test under the direction of Gen. Wright the Chief Engineer. The testing train was furnished br Afsistant Sujierintendent Walker, of the Chicago & Southwestern Railroad. When everything was in readi ness, the train moved on the bridge. It con sisted of two engines and eight flat cars load ed with iron, weighing in the aggregate :0 tons. Owing to the high wind? which prevailed at tbe time, the observations were taken with much difficulty, but tbe rtsult was in the highest degree satisfactory.
