The Impression seems to lie that what i.s lost in the Unused corn made up in the sav ing in labor and expense if frindin(r. The practice of hav ing hogs "follow" cattle origi nated in a desire to make good It part of this loss. The prac tice, however, is not one that ! commends itself to men that practice advanced methods in feeding. Even in the cases of men that have their cattle fol lowed by hogs in the summer lime, the same practice of feed log corn on the cob is continued during the winter and during all other times, when the loss can not certainly be made good by the hogs. Experiments have demonstrated that the loss of good feeding material by the practice is very large. The New .lersy experiment station recently made some tests that were strangely demonstrative of the wisdom of this Bourse.
