The llouso and Senate ara loth Democratic. In Pennsylvania the Democ racy succeeded in electing their Supreme Judge by a mall majority. Indiana hold no general election for State officers, but the returns show that she has held her own nobly. Iowa gives a majority of 30,- 000 for the Union ticket. The combined efforts of n treacherous President, North ern Copperheads ard (he lead ers of the North to defeat the Congressional p ' i of recon struction in Virginia, would not bring about a result at all favorable to their wishes. Old Virginia has said emphatically that elie will stand by Con press. Sixty nine counties give a majority of thirty-two thous and in favor of a Convention, and that Convention will re organize the Sta'e in conform ity with the requirements of ; that : body. Tho blacks just enfranchised give evidence of good conduct, and their vote was unanimous for a Conven tion. The whites outnumber the blacks by fourteen thous and fn the Slate, and it can be seen that in Virginia, the stronghold of the enemy, there is a good army of Republicans. . Jn New York tlio democ racy, it seems, have it pretty much all their own way. The result being a largo majority in their favor. New Jersey also gives a Democratic majority of nearly 12,000. In Maryland the Democracy have swept everything before them. Massachusetts elects 15ul LOCK,Ropublican, for Governor, and the entire ticket by 26,000 majority. Kansas is still true to the Republican cause. She gives a majority for the whole ticket. Minnesota elects the whole Republican ticket, and carries the Amendment by a small majority.
