®i)e UismatckSributte. Bismarck, D. T., Dec. 10,1877. Change of Publication Day. The Tribuxe -will be i- sued hereafu (skipping to-morrow) on Tuesday, Thurs day and Saturday in order to meet the mails. Frank Rande, the Western Ruffian who was arrested in a pawnbroker's shop in St. Louis a few days ago after having fatally wounded one police officer, slight ly wounded another and received a bullet in his own breast, seems to be a very re markable character. His murderous ca reer has been marked by a recklessness and daring which indicate an entire ig norance of fear, and even now that his fate is sealed, while the terrible doom of death by Lynch law at the hands of an infuriated people stares him in the face, he declares his only wish to be that he might have a ciub in hit- hand when the ceremony takes place, so that he might brain a dozen before he died. That this is no idle bravado is proved by the fact that he has before now faced and fought angry crowds. In August last, when...

"V StjelbmarckSrUmtte. Bismarck, I'. T., Dec. 18,1577. There is a diversity of opinion aiming the Republicans in Washington as 10 •what course the President will pursue now in reference to the ^jew crk. cus tom house officers. The majority beiievr that the President will invite a furiher oontest with the Senate by sending in new nominations, white the minority en tertain the opinion that the president will not yield, but will promptly trans mit new names to the Senate. The lat ter argue that the matter ha gone so far that the president cannot with self res pect yield to Mr. Conkling, but must continue the struggle until the fact is es tablished conclusively that the Senate will not consent to replace Mr. Conkling'e friends. Bismarck, D. T., Dec. 20,1877. Bismarck. In Saturday's issue of the TRIBUNE we will publish a report of the building im provements of Bismarck during the past year. The showing is a handsome one arid every one having made improve ments, and all other good citizens, should send in an order for extra copies of the paper containing this rep Jrt. The report will classify the buildings, give the name of the proprietor of each and the cost of his construe".ion. Those who want to advertise Bismarck and please their friends should not fail to embrace this opportunity to put the paper where it will do the most good. Don't forget it. Th.a Sio.itli-Ca.liii Tragedy. Our attention has been called to a par agraph in our Buford corVespodence ex pressing surprise that so little attention was given the Smith-Cahn tragedy by the TRIBUNE, and it has been suggested by the friends of one of the parties that the TRIBUXE feared to offend a certain element in Bismarck lest its editor might some day wan...
