TAMaaANiY PARMaER. Cewuatem, May 1. IUwO. A CURIOUS CLOCK. The Beientic Amdrnerican describes and illustrates a remarkable clock which it is claimed surpasses all other Lorological achievements, not excepting the great clock at Stras burg. The new time-piece is the invention of Ir. Felix Meier, of Detroit, Michigan. The clock is eighteen feet higb, eight feet wide by five feet deep, and weighs four thousand pounds. The framework is entirely of black walunt, elegantly carved. Above the main body of the clock is a mar ble dome, upon which Washington sits in his chair of state, protected by a canopy, which is surmounted by a gilded statue of Columbia; on either side of Washington is a col ored servant in livery, guarding the doors which open between the pil lars that support thecanopy; on th four corners of the clock are bla4 walnut niches containing h figures, emblematic of thee II J life; the two lower ones ported by tlaming to them contains the fi :. fant, the second lg.r youth, the...
