The town is saturated with the fa- miliar smell of onions and the trucks loaded with onions from the field are parked along the onion sheds. Everyone has high hopes that this will be another profitable year for both the grow- er and buyer and it looks as though it will be since the yield has been unusually large for the small acreage planted this year. The market is holding up good and it looks like another good year for Wylie and North Texas. ★ Taps were no sooner sounded ^ for the nation's war dead when the 48 states started counting up the dead along the highways.
