Grants awarded this year totaled more than $41,259, bringing the total grants awarded to Wylie ISD educators to more than $93,842. Kayla Adams, executive director of the foundation, with members of the board, made the presentations to the winners at their schools. Melody Goldmeyer, sixth grade math teacher at Davis Intermediate, received $3,000 for InterWrite School Pad. The wireless, interactive InterWrite school pad is used by the teacher and the students in the class- room. From anywhere in the class- room, the teacher or student can send comments, notes and other information to a projected image.
