DEATH OF MR. E. CONRICK Mr. E. Conriek, 'who became serious- ? ly ill while on an annual visit to Mel- I bourne, in November, was taken tack to Sydney .by plane last . week, and died in a .private hospital on Sunday afternoon. He was a member of Tat tersall's Club, and had had a life-long association with racing in New Zea land1 and Australia. . : ; ? ' , . Born on the West Coast of New Zealand, Mr. Conrick spent much of J^is early life in Palmerston North and /jjRVpHington. As an owner of v race %j®drses, he achieved considerable suc ? .1' cess with Bonheur, Eeudroclt, and the hurdlers, May King and Killarney, one of his jockeys in those days being G. Price, the present Randwick trainer. Gaming to Sydney in 1910, Mr. Conrick entered the hotel 'business, but had lived in retirement since 1925, .making a tour of the world and paying frequent visits to New Zea land and Victoria.
