ERRATUM. - In the account we gave in our last Gazette of   the Waterloo entertainment, instead of Captain Jones of the   Harriet, it was Captain Jones of the Cochin, that so much gratified the company with his melody. SHIP NEWS. - On Wednesday His Majesty's armed brig Kangaroo, Captain JEFFRIES, 3 weeks from Port Jackson, bound to     Europe, put in this Port through stress of weather - the gales of wind along the coast having been almost incessant.       On Thursday arrived His Majesty's colonial brig Elizabeth Hen- rietta, Mr. WHITE master, from Port Jackson via Port Dalrymple,     where she landed 30 male prisoners, as we reported in a former paper, and the remaining 36 she has brought here, who were likewise   disembarked yesterday, and assîgned to various employments. - This v...

Government & General Orders. GOVERNMENT HOUSE, HOBART TOWN,              One o'Clock A. M. Wednesday, 7th May, 1817. HIS Majesty's Colonial Brig the Kangaroo, Lieut. JEFFREYS, having proceeded Yesterday, from her Anchorage in this Port, in prosecu- tion of her Voyage to England, under HIS EXCELLENCY the GOV-ERNOR in CHIEF's Orders ;   all Communication, between His Majesty's said Colonial Brig the Kangaroo and the Shores of these Settlements, is strictly prohibited. The Naval Officer is directed to take all necessary Measures to en- force a due obedience to these Orders in the Port, and River : The Police Magistrate will give such directions as he may think expedi- ent for the same Purpose on Shore ; and the Commanding Officer of the Troops will give the proper Instructions to the Guards at the Landing Place. HOBART TOWN ; SATURDAY, MAY 10, 1817. SITTING MAGISTRATE - A.F.KEMP, Esq. SHIP NEWS.-On Monday failed the ship Harriet, Captain Jones, for Port Jackson, having taken in a quantity of wheat. His Majesty's colonial brig the Kangaroo, Lieut, JEFFREYS,   failed, from this harbour in the afternoon of the 6th, and anchored again off Sandy Bay. She went.down the river on 7th, and after     standing out into Storm'Bay, returned and anchored in Storm Bay Passage, where she still remains.                     Four crown prisoners, who were found concealed on board on the 6th and 7th have been landed ; and they declared on their trial, that they were not conveded on board in any boats of the settlement, but that the boats of Kangaroo took them on board. Ship News. - On Tuesday last His Majesty's colonial brig Kangaroo, Lieut. Jeffreys, sailed from Storm Bay Passage. The Sophia, Capt. Kelly has again proceeded to Port Davey & Macquarie harbour for another load of pine, Tomorrow it is expected will sail his Majesty's colonial brig Elizabeth menrietta, with a full cargo of wheat for Port Jackson.     The brig Jupiter, Capt. Bunster, will sail for Port Jackson via Port Dalrymple early in the ensuing week. The Naval Officer, and.
