A Marvellous Discovery [Newspaper Article] — South Coast Times and Wollongong Argus — 22 January 1915

A Marvellous DSscovery , ^ i — ^ — A few years previons to ,1903, Chemists, Geologists and Scientists were studying And experimenting frith various metals, with the one aim to making etee] thrice as strong and half the freight. After a year or two*s re search Mr. Ford discovered, in the t Andes Mountains, 16,000ft above sea level, a rare metal called Vanadium. This he managed with special high fusion furnaces to mix with steel, with the resuk that now the Ford Motor Car Company make 200,000 Ford Cara a year, which are sold for cash — thus the cheapness and lightness of the article. -, The Ford Car is the only car that has a world wide distribution and a world wide reputation operating in every civilized country in the world. If you __* take notice to the cars that pass you on j the road you will see there are more Fords in use than any other.
