Mistaken Idenity. The death of Sir John Hatty Tuke, the groat mental specialist, recoils a story lie. was fond of telling against himself. Some repairs were in progress nt the private asylum run by Sir John, and 1 the laborers engaged on the work had i been warned that on no account were they to talk to any of the patients. One morning, Sir John himself -went to see how the. workmen were getting on, and he made one or two sugges- , tions to the foreman. All lie got was a stony stare Sir John repeated his remarks, and again the man treated them with silent contempt. Sir John, naturally enough, lost his temper, and asked the man Avhat he mean by such conduct. "Awu1 wi' ye, de dWirions ould dev il]" lie retorted. 'I camia he bothered wi' ye. Hut I in sorry for ye a* the same." Sir John found he hud been mistaken for one of his own patients!
