CRICKE 1 I T. A cricket match was played last Sat urday between Gislorne and Sunbnry. The day was beautifully fine with the faintest of cooling breezes. Play was commenced a little after 3 o'clock. the local skipper deciding; to bat. W. He was riding a young horse when thle animal became'un manag able and threw its rider. -He was picked up Ny Mr McQueen in an insensi ble c::ndition. That gentleman at once telegraphed for Dr Muir, of Woodend, and brought the boy home. On exumina tion it was found that the side of the head i-as severely cut.
