LARCENY. Samuel Gumby, Charles Williams, and Tho mas MMrgan, were indicted -for stealing ten, sugar, and other property belonging to Arthur flichard Zouclhe, at the Braidwood steam.mills, on the 17th June last. The prisoners pleaded not guilty. The pi incipal witness in this case was William Godfrey, who had been one of the parties in the robbery, but had become approver. I-He swore positively to having been in company with anl assisted the prisoners arraigned at the time they broke itito the mill and took away the property mentioued'iti the indictment. Mr. J. Bradbnry, chief constable, of Braid wood, proved to filding part of the property concetiled in the prisoner (Gumby's), barn, an,1 a portion near the approver's premises, as well, as a qjiautity of tea and sugar at the house of prisutner's and Godfrey, about equal in weight to what was stolen from the mills. Wii iumn Hutchins ad,tltRobert Dunsdale,labo rers, lute of' Vugga Wugga, were indicted for stealing on the 28th day of April last, twenty sheep, value £10, the property of A. P. Onslow. A second count in the indictment charged them with killing and stealing the careases. - Upon the Jury being called, the prisoner Hutchins challenged several of them who were flock-masters. The SOLICLTOn-GENERAL stated the case for the prosection, and called, WilliamMacleay. knew the prisoners at the bar, were employed to take some sheep belonging to Mr. Ouslow, to a station down the Mluritumbid gee; knew a station called Uretta on the river; the prisoners started with the sheep on the 27th, could not say when they arrived ; overtook them at Mr. George Mlacleay's station ; it was on the 20th I overtook them, they had a horse and cart with them ; they had been two; (lays on their journe...

LATER EUROPEAN NEWS. BY the arrival of tihe Agricola we are placed in possession of English news up to ?he 23rd May, three days later than our last intelligence via Port Phillip. The journals are destitute of news of any greait inportance. Her Majesty and tile Royal Family were in tihe enjoyment of excellent health. Tihe Queen gave the first draw ing-room for the season on the 11th of M'ay. The Government had announced their intention d' materially modifying the Navigation laws.
