FEBRUARY 24. 1 91 0. S 1 1 PPLEM MNT TO THE HAYT1 HERALD CITY HALL LEAKS. Not long ago the city spent consid erable money to repair the leaky roof about the dome of the city hull, which hud done considerable damage, but it now turns out that there are other leaky places on most every part of the main roof, and when the snow of last week started to melt away, these leaks were considerable, doing great dam age. Prom time to time there have leen other bad leaks in the roof, and the first roof placed on the building had to be removed entirely, and there has been much annoyance and expense, on account of these leaks. It does seem that these leaks could te stopped. This building stands the people of Hayti $10,000, and it surely is worth while to take the very best care of it. Of course the city authorities are doing their best, but some positive steps should be taken to repair the roof permanently. At the present time the plastering is almost ruined, and the building must be replastered. ...
