IT MURDER. The Finding Of a Hat Lead* to InveKtifra Moa and a Murder Trial May Result. "Late developments.may yet show that John Taylor was murdered before the train ran over bim in October last," said a prominent lawyer to n Post reporter a few days ago. It will be remembered that on the ?orning of tho 15th of last October the mangled remains of John Taylor Acre found strewn along the railroad track near the L. & N. depot. The supposition was that he had been killed by a night train while in an intoxicated condition, and in the investigation before the coroner's jury on the day of the tragedy, no tacts were elicitedjhat would uphold the theory of murder The consequence was that John Plaster, the man to w hom suspicion attached as the one, with whom iie had been on a drunk, and with whom he wan last seen, was dismissed from custody. The father of voting Taylor was dissat- j iflfied with the verdict of t lie coroners jury j being firmly of the opinion that his boy had been the vi...

KXTItEKES OF WEALTH AND F?V BRTV. Let me here give a few illustrations of the present position of affairs in this so called Christian country, and in doing so, let it be clearly understood that I do not condemn individuals, but the laws under which such things exist. According to the Doomsday Book, we find that the Duke of Northumberland owns 191,481 acres of land, with a yearly valuation, or income, of 182,560 pounds; the Duke of Devon? shire, 132,998 acres, with an annual value of 140,450 pounds; the Duke of Bedford, 87,515 acres, with an annual value of 141, 550 pounds, and the Earl of Derby 50,599 acres, with an annual value of 173,3:27 pounds. If we search through the records of our merchant princes and bankers, we find many of the millionaires living in the utmost splendor and surrounded by every conceivable luxury. The St. Stephen's Review, in July last, calculated that it would cost the wealthy class in the West End of London the immense sum of4,000 000 pounds in three month...
