SUBSCRIPTION PRICE, $2.00 PEP 'EAR Entered as second-class matter March 8, 1905, at the postoffice .t Glendive, Mont., u ader the Act of Congress of March 3. 1879. THURSDAY. SEPT. 10, 1908. RETRIBUTION What the Monitor has long expected - to occur came to pass last Saturday , afternoon when the importation at the I head of the Dawson County Review L was rendered hors du combat in record a time by County Clerk Wyman, as the aftermath of a series of slanderous I imputations, which appeared in the mongrel sheet of the bovine prognos ticator. Mlr. Wyman regrets the affair, but states plainly that he. would do the same thing again under similar cir- o cumstances. He has no excuses whlat ever to make and feels that he was fully justified. He was unfortunate only in being the first man called up- t on to give the -Calf his quietus. The Monitor has long expected it and was r not surp...

ADAMS AIMLESSLETS J. B. Mullett has been thresing in the Thirteen Mile district, but has moved his rig near Glendive, where he is threshing at present. Rudolph Miller started his rig threshing around home but is thresh ing in the Bloomfield neighborhood at present. Last week A. H. Phillips of Brook lyn, Iowa. made a trip through the Thirteen Mile district, accompanied by a party of men. They were convey ed by our hustling real estate agent, E. C. Leo: ard of Glendive, in his au to. Mr. Boyze and Andrew Buller each made a trip to Glendive the 7th with hay. A grading outfit passed through here on the 6th. There must be some thing in view in that line farther north. Samuel Kauffman and Mr. Steffis of this locality left for North Dakota about two weeks ago to take in the threshing season. Later Ezra Born trager, Francis B. Miller and wife and Amand Wagler left for the same place. Lizzie Kauffman accompanied them as far as Woodford, N.
