Doyle, Plaintiff, vs. Sue Doyle, Defendant Now on this 12th day of October, 1918, comes E. M. Doyle, the plaint iff in the above entitled cause, before the undersigned Clerk of the Cape Girardeau Court of Common Pleas, in the County of Cape Girardeau, and State of Missouri, in vacation, and fi'es his affidavit stating among other things that the above named defend ant. Sue Doyle, has absconded and absented herself from her usual place of abode in this state, and has con cealed herself so that the ordinary process of law can not be served up on her;it is therefore ordered by the Clerk, aforesaid, in vacation, that publication be made, notifying the said defendant that an action has been commenced against her by p'ain tiff in the Cape Girardeau Court of Common Pleas, in the 'County of Cape Girardeau,...

- 6 THE WEEShT TRIBUNE AND CAPE COUNTY HERALD, Announcement by Missouri's Largest Industrial Institution President Wilson, as a necessary conservation measure, has issued a Proclamation prohibiting the manufacture of cereal beverages on and after Dec. 1, 1918, which Proclamation also maizes it necessary to dis continue the manufacture ofBevo the Anheuser-Busch soft drink. As a patriotic duty we accept without reservation the conditions of the President's Proclamation and on and after Dec. 1 our manufacturing plants will be closed and they will remain closed until such time as we may be permitted to reopen them with the full sanction of the Government, or until we convert them for the manufacture of materials required by the Government in the prosecution of the war. The Government's conservation program makes it necessary to suspend the beverage business of the Anheuser-Busch plants. We consider it a privilege to co-operate with the Government in making its war program effective, and...
