The May cotton crop report of the Galveston Cotton Exchange from C8 counties in Texas shows an increase of about 6 per cent in area planted; stands of cotton generally good; labor efficient; weather favorable ; about two weeks earlier than last year. Northern counties complain of too much rain. The Memphis Cotton Exchango has reports compiled from West Tcn- nossce and Northern Mississippi Ar- kansas and Alabama showing a slight increase in acreage condition of crop good and about ten days earlier than last year.
