Monday evening: the Good Roads club held tin enthusiastic meeting in tfce Knights of Pyth' ias baliv nearly all the business men here" being in attendance. The meeting was presided over by permanent president F. H. Hitchcock, and several interest- ing talks were made. The com- mittees heretofore appointed, to inquire into and investigate road building, made partial reports, but owing to the nature of the tasks imposed on these com- mittees, and the limited time in which they have had to work, the reporta were not oomplete. It was the consensus of opinion that public sentiment will have to be eduoated to the point of seeing the importance and abso* lute necessity of having good roads. It was moved and carried that on the 25th of this month there be held a good roads rally at the court house, when there will be speakers of note here to talk on the subject.
