WEDDING BELLS The marriage of Alice Dove, second eldest dadghter of Mrs., and the late Mr. C. Dove, Alexandra, to Frederick Ernest, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Boote, Alexandra, was celebrated at St. John's Church of England, Alexandra, on Saturday, Sept. 10. Rev. S. Taylor officiated. The bride looked charming in a slim fitting French taffetta frock, and carried garienias, or chids and azealeas. Sl-e entered the Church on the arm of her brother Ray. The bride was attended by her sister Dorothy, as bridesmaid, and Lorraine Koop as trainbearer. Marysville branch of the R.S.L, showed in very practical manner its solidarity and loyalty to League prin. ciples on Wednesday, 14th September, when so many of its members turned out to pay their last respects to the passing of one of their comrades and a wvell known Buxton figure, Leonard Matthews. The late Mr. Matthews had been a prominent employee at the Buxton Hotel for the past 17 years, and his late employer, Mr. T. D. Robb, spoke very highly of his qualities.
