Severin, of Brocklesby, won the Albury and R.A.S. Championship for growing crops in this district, with Bobin variety, this wheat, because of its poor baking qualities, was not recom- ? mended for this district, states Mr. G. C. Bartlett, senior agricultural instructor, in his report on dis trict crop competitions. It was essentially a dry district wheat. Good yields which had been returned on some ' farms, despite unfavorable conditions, was the result - -of modern varieties and modern farming methods, said Mr. Bartlett.
