CRICKET. HEALESVILLE v. YARRA GLEN. [Newspaper Article] — Healesville Guardian and Yarra Glen Guardian — 3 December 1898

,CRICKET. HIALESVILLE V. YARRA.GLEN. The cricket season was opened in Healesville .on Saturday afteriinoon last, when these old-.time rivals met in a friendly' engagement, 'and yictory; rested with Yarra Glen after an enjoy able game. The cricket shown during he' afterinioni was disappointing, and unless better form is -shown by the Healesville players in future, their list of :victories will not be a great one. 'Yarra Glen had only a few of, their regular players, and their team was made upbf'men from'. substituteua?the m??ajority of whom,' however, were members of?fthe -Cdran'derrk- station; Healesville had a very good combiria tion, but the ~stand they made aiinst the Glen bowling was. so"feeble that made the cause quite inexplicable, for it was not that the trundling of the 'visitors was of such: exceptional merit as to warrant that belief. The home team certainly, had had luck. in losing -a few men, in" an- unsatisfactory madf ner, but that is in the game, and there iisalways s...

Bushrangers Again. [Newspaper Article] — Healesville Guardian and Yarra Glen Guardian — 3 December 1898

Bushrangers Again. The recent occurence at Captain's Flat, N.S-W., served to remind the public that the day is not yet p.Lst when highway rolbery cin be practised with a crtain amount of impunity. A man may, even in this enlightened p-riod, be " held up" and relieved of his .purse, or, what is a much more common occurrence, robbed of his health. Mr. S-amuel Fisher, of cleary street, Hamilton, Newcastle, had an experience of this kind laterly, and, in regard to the same and his cure by Bile Beans, he says : " I suffered most severely for over twelve months from acute chronic indigestion. I couldn't sleep. Night after night I passed in tossing about in -bed. When I arose I felt worse than on the previous day. Terrible pains assailed me in the chest arid shoulders. I had no appetite, and no food could tempt me. Headaches of i most voilent character and general disorder, of course, followed this. My whole system became completely run down, and I becam a wreck. My friend can tell you lio...
