Cairns District Hospital.   COMMITTEE MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Committee of the Cairns District Hospital was held in the Court House on Monday last. Present—Messrs E. A. Milford (President), E. Henriques, T. S. Hope, N. McLean, Revd. Father Corcoran, Dr Koch (Medical Superin- tendent), and A. J. Draper (Secre- tory). CORRESPONDENCE Included in the correspondence dealt with was the following communica- tions : From the Wardsman, under date June 23rd, asking for two months leave of absence, as he and Mrs. McLean wished to leave Cairns at once. Mr Henriques said that when he had recently visited the Hospital as one of the Visiting Committee Mr McLean had told him he would like to get away early next month, leaving about a fortnight of his time unexpired. Mr. N. McLean said he would like to ask the Doctor if such leave of absence would inconvenience him very much.
