Tlio Commercial had a dividend at the rate of 1 5 per cent, per annum, nnd tlio Joint Stock of 10 per cont. per annum, and carriod to the reservo fund upwards of £1500, and to tlio equalization of dividends fund £120u. In the former institution Air. Thomas Skinner t ikes the' place of the Colonial Secrotary at the Board ; and in tbo latter Mr. Holt supplies the vacancy occasioned by the rotinm mt of Mr. Chirk Irving. Two of our banking establishments— the Commercial and the Joint Stoctt, held their half-yearly meetings on Tuesday, and tho reports, though highly satisfactory to the shareholders, ought to teach tho trading community that thoy pay too highly ill some way or other for tho accommodation afforded them.
