Whittlesea Baths Dissention RATEPAYERS' LEAGUE RESENTS COUNCIL'S ATTITUDE Deputation To Discuss Finances And Urge Completion [Newspaper Article] — Eltham and Whittlesea Shires Advertiser — 9 February 1940

Whittlesea Baths Dissention RATEPAYERS' LEAGUE RESENTS COUNCIL'S ATTITUDE Deputation To Discuss Finances And Urge - Completion - Dissatisfaction which has existed for some time concerning the pro gress being made with the construction of the Whittlesea Baths is likely to come to a head on Wednesday when a deputation representing the Whittlesea Ratepayers' and Residents' League will wait on the council to discuss the matter. There has also been an impression that the finances could have been administered to produce more and better results than has been the case, and at least two items on the accounts forwarded to the League by the Council will be queried by the deputation. The min- - .ie held on Monday night took keen exception to the Council's action in forwarding a letter inquiring how it proposed to finance a further grant of £200 from the Public Works Department if it should be made available. The baths formed the principal item of discussion at the February meeting of the League...
