DISGRACEFUL CONDUCT IN A TRAIN. At the Malvern Court on Saturday, bsfore Mr F. Bare, P.M., and a full bench of magistrates, Frank L-ng, a well-known horse trainer at Caulfield, was prosecuted by Constable Flannery, of the Railway departmenti-under the 02th section of the Police Offences ~istute for insdlting behaviour, and under the 152nd section of the Public Works Statute, for wilful'y interfering with the comfort of other passengers in a railway carriage.. Mr M'Kea ano peered on behalf of the department. The defendant pleaded guilty to both charges. George French, railway guard, deposed, that on the 9th of Mfareh, on the arrival of the twenty minutes past fire .mi. train at the Hawkesburn station, a number of pas sengers complained to him that Lene was grossly miseonducting' himself. BOARDS OF ADVICE. A public meeting was held last night in the Court House to consider the advisa bility of having 'a Board of Advice for each riding. The meeting was convened by the President of the Shire, but owing to his absence in Melbourne as one of a deputation to the Minister of Railways, Mr. Mill occupied the chair. The' Chair man explained to the meeting that at present there was only one Board of Advice for the Shire. Mr. Barton said the present board expires by efiluxion of time on the 24th inst. On the motion of Mr Jones, it was resolved that the Minisi~r of Eduction be requested to form two Boards of Advice, one for the Central and East Riding com bined, andthe other for the West Riding of the Shire of Trar~lgoi.. .
