Ag College Near Top Enrollment Even though the College of Agriculture at the Pennsylvania State University now has the largest enrollment in its 100-year history with 1,277 men and women listed, it is not yet m a position to meet half of the demands for trained personnel. This was pointed out by Dr Russell B Dickerson, director of resident instruction, _as> he sui>'eyed the 500 different jobs and professions within modern agriculture and allied industries In addition to the 1,277 undergraduates in the 4-year program there are 239 graduate students, compared to 219 a year ago, reflecting the trends for more specialized training In the various fields Dr Dickerson said the addition of a new curriculum in conservation brings to 19 the number of cumculums within the College of Agriculture, all designed to meet demands for trained personnel.
