Cheap Garden Rake. very may bs made with but a few cents ex pense by any farmer, in the followirg manner: Tftjce a slick of tough limber for the head, two feet lung and about an inch, and a half t-inare. With a three quarter anger lore a hole through the center for the handle; then with a proper sized bit bore holes once in two inches through the head and drive through twelve penny nails for the teeth. The bit holes bLouKI be just large enough to make the nails go tight, but not so light as to split the stick. By putting the rake head in a vice when driving in the teeth, the work may be done better.- - - - To Protect Corn from Cutworms. VTorim.
