The gold gambling developments have been pointing more and more to the G rant family. Mr. Jay Gould's statements last week point unmis takably to Grant's culpability. Mr. Gould asserts : 1. That General Butter field was appointed Ai-U at -Treasurer by Mr. Corbin's influence and with a view to favor his speculations ; that It wan first Intended that Cat her wood, Corbin's son-in-law, should be Aaols-tant-Treaaurer. but it was thought that this appointment would be at tended with too much danger, and Calnerwood was bonght tiff by a promise of oaa-fourth of the profit made by Oorbln and Gould.
