Hat Never Failed to Product Wheat. ' C. V. Merchant, the well known Htock man of Abilene, is some what of a wheat raiser. Mr. Merchant hns a plot of ground inside the incorporate limita of Abilene that he has planted in wheat for the past twenty-seven miccessive years and hart never failed to make a crop during that entire time. This plot of ground comprises twelve acres and the yield has been from 10 to 2-i hunhels p-r acre besides furn ishing excellent winter pasture for the milk cows and work horses.
