WISE TALKS BY THE OFFICE BOY Subject: Watches for Kids 1 ee, there is a boy who lives down near me who is the limit when it comes to asking questions; he has worried his poor father so that the man is a nervous wreck. and he asks such big fool questions too. Ye terday he kept springing all sorts of conundrums on the old man until his father threatened to lick him if he didn't let up. "Who would bury the last man to die?" was one of them. I thought his father would surely be the next one to go-but hain't a kid a gene ral no good proposition anyway? Yet you couldn't buy a bright-eyed boy for a million dollars-from its parents--and . they are mighty useful sometimes. We have a two dollar '. xwatch for kids that has a Waterbury or any other dollar watch backed off the map. While you're getting a watch for the boy you might as well pay a few dimes more and get P him a good one. It will pay for itself in teaching him habits of punctuality. WILLIE, with DR. J. H. YELLOWSTONE MONITOR. ABSOLUTELY INDEPENDENT. Published at Glendive, Dawson County, Montana by E. A. MARTIN. SUBSCRIPTION PRICE, $2.00 PER YEAR Entered as second-class matter March 3, 19')5, at the postoffice at Glendive, Mont., under the Act of Congress of March 3, 1879. THURSDAY. AUG. 20, 190S. A LUDICROUS CONTEMPORARY The senseless drivel in the Review last week, with reference to the Yel lowstone Monitor, might be funny, considered in a certain light, if it were not so absolutely silly and de void of all sense of argument or re futation. Once while sauntering through a famous zoological garden, we came upon a remarkable exhibition. In a specially built compartment were hun dreds of the beautiful little lizards known as chameleons. The bright sunlight, streaming through the sky lights of the reptile house, would fall upon the little animals as they moved an d the accompanying reflections would involve all the colors of a gor geous rainbow. So it is with the -Calf in this instance....

TRUE STORY WITH A MORAL. They Are Not Scarce, But This One Is Well Worth Learning. "There are thousands and thousands of drummers in the country," said the nman from Boston, "and while only two of them are known to be prevaricators, their conduct is a smirch on the whole body of men. I am going to relate a curious cirrums.ance, and while I know that I shall n,_t be believed I yet feel it my duty to give the story to my fetlow men on account of the moral Connected with it." Everybody pllt on a grave face and prepared to listen, and after clearing his throat the Bostonian continued: "Five y,.ars a',, I was eating dinner at a Chicago restaurant. Just as I rose up I put a $10 gold piece in my mouth to band to the waiter. At that minute a drummer for a New York leather house came up and slapped me on the back and I swallowed the gold. I con silted a l,ihysician and he said nothing co,;(l be done. In fact, he advised me ni( t to do anything, as it would turn rt., in:to a sort of gold-cure...
