Boston Crackers. --One quart of yeast, one quart of water ant one pound of flour; mix well and let it stand for twelve hours, then add n cupful of butter and a teaspoonful of salaratus, knead thoroughly alt1 let stand another twelve hours, af ter which the preparation is ready for baking. How to Bake Beans.-The re ceipt for baking beans after the real New Englaud style is as fol lows: Pick over the beans care fully, wash clenu with cold :a'tcr and place in a kettle, covering them two or three inches deco with water, and parboil one hour." Green Peas.-Cook green peas in plenty of salted water, drain them, add salt and butter, mingle them well and serve. Water-Cress Salad.-Wash well and put in a salad bowl with a ta blespoonful of mayonnaise dres sing in the center, a little salt and a hard boiled egg cut in slices. Parsnips. - Wash well, scrape and cut in four pieces lengthwise, boil in salted water. When quite done dish up in a warm dish; pour melted butter with minced parsley over them. Macaroni-Cook the macaroni ten minutes in boiling water, add a cupful of milk with a little salt, and stew until tender. This dish is very nice eaten with meats the same as a vegetable.
