One is an Australian.vegetable hawker," the other a Chinese " cabbage John." One day recently her Australian green grqcer told her gently but firmly that iis he had found thit she (his fellow citizen) was, sharing her, valued 'custom with a " Chow," he (her fellow citizen) must h.enceforth respectfully ' decline to serve her.-. This was a shock, but a worse one followednext day when John said to her, on putting in an appearance with his hand cart, " You buy from S'ney man allee same me, " Me no likee, me no sellee you fwym'." And now that housekeeper can only get' vegetables by calling round her self at ihe local shop with a hand basket,
