DAIRYING CO-OPERATION. An important conference was lield at Beoalla (Victoria), last week of delegates from the different butter j factories throughout the colony, tho object being to consider the scheme of the proposed Victoriaa Butter factories' Co-operative Coy , Ltd., about 85 delegates were present. Letters were received from tw«uty factories expressing sympathy with the movement. Air. McFadyen, financial manager of tli3 Farmers' Cj-operative Conopuiy, N. S. W., Limited, Sydney, attended, and gave an account of the history of Ills company, which started in 1881, and the following yv ir, on a capital of £2300, paid a dividend of 10 per c<?nt., with a turnover of £100,000. In 1898, with a capital of £9000, their turnover was nearly £400,000.
