MEETING AT FERNMOUNT. A public meeting washeldat the Imperial Hotel, Fernmount, on Saturday evening last, with the object of arranging athletic sports for St. Patrick's Day. Mr. A. Black presided. It was resolved to hold a day's sports at Fernmount on March 17, if, as intimated by some of those present, the sports advertised to take place at Coff's Harbor on that date had been further postponed, and the secretary was requested to ascertain whether such -was the case. In the event of the Coff's Harbor sports coming off on St. Patrick's Day, sports will be held at Fernmount on March 12.: Tho programme will include a £20 handicap, and a concert and ball will be held in con nection with the sports. Officers and a strong committee were appointed, and, a subscription list having been opened, over £6 was subscribed in the room.
