CENTRAL EUROPE'S HUNGER. AMERICAN FOOD COMMISSIONER BUSY. WASHINGTON, Thursday. Mr. Herbert Hoover, writing from Paris, reports the arrival at Trieste of tlie iirst steamer with food supplies for the Serbians. A special mission was sent to Warsaw to organise food relief for Poland and another to Vienna to investigate the food conditions there. A commission is also going to Belgrade to take charge ,o£ the situation there. The conditions in Vienna 'and Roumauia are reported to 4jo desperate. Mr . Hoover, reports that the food far . the 2,000,000 in Vienna is sufficient for oiily ten days and that iuEoiuuania it will only, last thirty days.
