I notice that a motion was carri 1 to call tenders for two different 1 inds fences — one for six wires, including thr ?- barbed. This is the fence I wish draw attention to. I think that the members at the meeting mentioned had given the matter due consideration they would not have entertained the idc~, of erecting a barbed-wire fence round a racecourse, especially on this one, as we have a very limited space of ground v laying down a, racecourse and iv5.e trrx-lc must, of necessity, run within a shut distance of the IWjsndary fencc on the four sides. Myself and quite half-a-doxen others have not attended our post-office, because we have a daily mail at Cranbury, although we Jtave fco go five and evea seven miles to get. it: I know people who have gone both to Canowindra and Toogottg to get mail matter, when, if this had been a bi weekly mail they would have been sa ved a deal of time by going either to Lock wood or Burdett. Another thing re quires altering I think, and that is the route, as at present that poor mail boy must feel a bit dizzy by the time he ne got...
