BLAYNEY SCHOOL OF ARTS. A meeting of subscribers to the above was held in the reading-room on Wednesday evening. Mr. C. R. Barry occupied the chair. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read an d confirmed. After some discussion as to the legality of the previous meetings, Mr. Thomas proposed, and Mr. Jones seconded, ' That all the resolutions passed at the previous meetings be rescinded.' Carried. Mr. Thomas proposed, and Mr. Mellor seconded, ' That the Blayney School of Arts be re-formed.' Carried. The members then present qualified them selves as members of the old School of Arts by paying 2/ more (they having previously paid 3/) so as to proceed with the business of the meeting. Politics.— Mr. \VaddelU-i--M.L.Atf .for Cbbar, who intends contesting the Cowra electorate in the interests of Protection, made Ilia bow to a local audience on Monday evening in Digby's Hall. He was accompanied by Mr, Phillips, our present re presentative, and although the weather. was very threatening, the hall was fairly well filled. Mr. T. B. Hocking was voted to the chair, and . Mr. Waddeil spoke for about an hour and a half, re ceiving an attentive, if not altogether an enthusi astic hearing.
