Timboon Red Cross. ANNUAL MEETING. Much work lias been accomplished during the year by the members of the Timboon Red Cross Society. Although the district is not very thickly populated and the members are less, proportionately, than the larger centres, Timboon may be proud of tbe work achieved by tho members of their brauch. The total money obtained by entertainments and otherwise for the year amounted to £76 lis lid, and the txpendituro £01 12s 9d. The following is the list of articles made for the year: —402 handkerchiefs, 110 towels, 38 faoewashers, 18 sets pyjama*, 188 pillow slips, 99 shirts, 72 pairs sock?, 37 arm socks, 7 bandages, 4 helmets, 8 bed socks, 2 pairs slippers. Total, 970. The same members also made and sent to the Lady Mayoress lor the men in the trenches the following:—189 pairs souks, '24 helmet--, 4 cap?, 1 scarf. Total, 21S. Grtud total, 1188. The branch desires to acknowledge a donation of £210s from Mr. Murpby.

Only by releasing constant supplies of oxygen is the crew kept alive.
